Joe Campanale

Joe has worked in virtually every tier of the New York wine industry from Italian wine importer, Vinifera Imports, to top bottle shop, Italian Wine Merchants, to a sommelier position at Mario Batali’s Babbo.  In 2007, Joe along with Chefs Gabe and Katherine Thompson and August Cardona opened the West Village restaurant dell’anima.  Following their success, they opened their second larger West Village restaurant, L’Artusi (2008). followed by Anfora (2010), a wine bar focusing on natural wines, and L’Apicio (2012), a modern Italian restaurant in the East Village.  In 2014, he co-authored their cookbook, Downtown Italian.  Joe received an undergraduate degree and a Master’s degree in the Food Studies from NYU. He was named a Certified Wine Specialist and Certified Wine Educator by the Society of Wine Educators and a Certified Sommelier in the Court of Master Sommeliers.

Manoël Bouchet, PROPRIETOR

Manoël is a Strategic Advisor and a Partner in Third Leaf’s European operations.  He Co-Founded Maison Roche de Bellene and is Chairman of the Board of Directors.  As Groupe Bellene Counselor, Manoël has broad expertise in establishing and operating both estate and virtual wineries. He has designed and launched several wine brands and businesses over the past 15 years.  As an entrepreneur, Manoël is also Co-Founder and Director of a Communication and Marketing Group in France (Paris - Beaune - Avignon).  He graduated from the Ecole Supérieure de Gestion in Paris with a major in Finance and International Trading.  He lives with his family outside of Beaune.

Gothic Wine

Josh Nadel, Proprietor

Josh is a native New Yorker and the Executive Beverage Director of Andrew Carmellini’s restaurants in New York City: The Dutch, Locanda Verde, Bar Primi, Little Park, Joe's Public Theatre, and Lafayette. He is a certified Advanced Sommelier by the Court of Master Sommeliers and co-founder of Gothic Wine. Josh has over a decade of experience as a sommelier.  Previously, he was a sommelier at the venerable wine-destination restaurants, Veritas and Cru in New York City.

Richie Hawtin, Founder

Richie is a world-renowned musician and DJ.  Playing to crowds of thousands of fans Richie has been a music icon since the late-1980s and still continues to push the frontiers of music, art, and technology today.  Richie has also been a devoted sake connoisseur for over twenty years since he first traveled to Japan in 1994.  He has earned the Advanced Sake Professional Certification and was made an official Sake Samurai by the Japanese Sake Brewers Association in 2014 for his efforts in promoting sake abroad .  He continues to use his influence to open up young audiences to new cultural experiences through his performances and ENTER. shows worldwide.

CP LIN, WINEMAKER and Partner

CP Lin is one of New Zealands most talented winemakers and has a unique background. Born in Taiwan and blind from the age of two, Lin earned a degree in mathematics before becoming a renowned and respected winemaker. He has made wine around the world for the past eighteen years in the United States, Australia, Portugal, France, Italy, and New Zealand. Lin was most recently the winemaker at Mountford Estate in the Waipara region from 1997-2013. He resides in New Zealand and has the largest private collection of knives in the country.
